Some buildings host events. Others become part of a city's memory.
Long before IT SPOT 2026 arrives this October, the building that will welcome us already carries decades of stories within its walls.
Today, we know it as the Montenegrin Music Centre — one of Podgorica’s recognizable cultural spaces and the venue for the fourth edition of IT SPOT.
But generations of people in Podgorica remember it by another name: Dom JNA, or the Military House.
A building Podgorica remembers
Dating back to the early 1960s, the building became part of the city’s social and cultural life. Its halls welcomed concerts, performances and gatherings that eventually became personal memories.
Podgorica changed around it. Decades passed. And eventually, the building changed too.
Following its reconstruction and adaptation, the former Military House began a new chapter as the Montenegrin Music Centre.
Its purpose evolved, but something remained familiar. People still walk through these doors to listen, discover, meet and experience something together.
Perhaps that is exactly why it feels like such a natural home for IT SPOT.
Same walls. New stories.
There is something special about creating the future in a place with a past.
People who entered this building decades ago could hardly have imagined conversations about artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and technologies reshaping global business taking place here one day.
On 15–16 October 2026, its halls will fill once again — this time with technology leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and professionals gathering for IT SPOT 2026.
The conversations will be different. The people will be different. But the building will continue doing what it has done for generations: bringing people into the same room.
This October, IT SPOT becomes another chapter in its story.
